What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a type of Complementary and Alternative medicine in which the mind is used in an attempt to help with a variety of problems, such as breaking bad habits or coping with stress. It is used for a wide variety of applications from stress, anxiety, relaxation to fears and phobias, health issues, weight reduction and management.
Hypnotherapy is a talking therapy involving hypnosis which focuses a clients imagination and subconscious mind to help bring about positive changes to their thoughts, feelings or behaviour. Together the hypnotherapist and client will decide on the desired changes to work on prior to the hypnosis occurring.
Hypnotherapy uses the power of positive suggestion to influence a change in our behaviour and the way we respond to our thoughts, feelings and emotions. It is a form of complementary therapy that uses talking therapy and hypnosis to help people make positive change, promote relaxation, and have a better quality of life.
95% of our behaviour and decisions are controlled by the subconscious mind. In a therapeutic setting, hypnosis provides a powerful tool to access our subconscious thought patterns and behaviours, and resolve issues that lie beyond the capabilities of the conscious mind.
