Hypnotherapy is a type of Complementary and Alternative medicine in which the mind is used in an attempt to help with a variety of problems, such as breaking bad habits  or coping with stress. It is used for a wide variety of applications from stress, anxiety, relaxation to fears and phobias, health issues, weight reduction and management.

Hypnotherapy is a talking therapy involving hypnosis which focuses a clients imagination and subconscious mind to help bring about positive changes to their thoughts, feelings or behaviour. Together the hypnotherapist and client will decide on the desired changes to work on prior to the hypnosis occurring.

Hypnosis works by simply supressing the conscious part of the mind, so that the unconscious part of your mind is open and ready to receive positive changes to your life.

Nervous About Hypnotherapy?

Many people are nervous about having a Hypnotherapy session. For a lot of people it is a fear of the unknown. People feel that the Hypnotherapist is in control of you during the session. This is not true, the client is in control the whole time.

It is perfectly understandable to be nervous, however, Hypnotherapy is completely safe. No one has ever been hurt by the therapy, so there is no real need to be worried about having therapy.

If you are wanting Hypnotherapy and you are nervous about it, i can have a chat with you to go through everything and tell you what will happen. This builds rapport so you get to know me and make you feel at ease. You can also bring someone with you into the session if you wish.
